I’ve worked in HR long enough to know that employees don’t just leave for a paycheck somewhere else; they leave when they don’t feel valued, supported, or connected to their work. And when employees leave, businesses suffer. Lost time, lost money and lost momentum.

Early in my career, I witnessed firsthand how a thriving workplace culture can transform a business. I worked with a company that had high turnover, low morale, and leadership that was stretched too thin. By focusing on the employee experience and ensuring people were heard, recognized, and aligned with the company’s vision, we turned things around.

Productivity soared, customer satisfaction improved, and turnover plummeted. That was a turning point for me.
